They say that imitation is the sincerest type of flattery – and it appears that Hugh Hefner’s ex girlfriend Holly Madison has some thing of a girl style crush on Kim Kardashian.

Holly, 31, wore the exact exact same four,605 perforated taupe leather Herve Leger bandage dress to an awards ceremony last night that Kim wore to her notorious hen party last week.

Playboy model and reality Tv star Holly, who has her own Holly’s World show, was wearing the frock from the designer’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection as she picked up the ‘Beautiful Humanitarian Award’ in the North American Hair Styling Awards in Las Vegas.

Holly had plumped for the animal skin style to pick up her gong, which she’d received for being a passionate advocate for the rights of animals and a supporter of PETA along with the Animal Foundation of Las Vegas.

She’d teamed the dress with classic nude patent stiletto sandals – and her massive glass sculpture gong. She wrote on her Twitter: ‘N American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) is today! I?¡¥m so excited to attend & receive the Beautiful Humanitarian Award. www.probeauty.org/naha.’

The dress is described as having a ‘a fierce silhouette’ which is ‘an update of the label’s signature body-con style.’

Fashion website Net A Porter continues: ‘This intricately cut piece works best partnered with nude patent sandals and a metallic clutch.’

Mind you, it appears that Holly is not along in favouring the frock.

Model Victoria Silvstedt and actress Dakota Fanning are also huge fans of the daring dress and have both been seen sporting it at different functions earlier this year.

Reality Tv star Kim, 30, had last week accessorised the dress with an over-the top tiara as well as a red sash saying ‘bacherlorette’, but at least stuck to the recommended footwear of nude heels.

She wore the outfit to celebrated her impending nuptials in style at her hen party the Tao nightclub in Las Vegas where she was joined by scantily female dancers – and treated to a striptease from a dwarf.

She also quaffed champagne and downed shots along with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney and mother Kris Jenner, while enjoying cakes and drinking through straws in the shape of certain male body part.

She’s set to marry New Jersey Jets player Kris Humprhries on 20 August.

As for what dress she’s going to wear down the aisle, so far, Kim is keeping schtum.

However, a pal told OK! magazine last month: ‘She wants it to be a little bit of high fashion, but also timeless, classic and classy.

‘It will be ivory, and most of the detailing will just be stitchwork or beading.’
